Forgiveness is for the Forgiver

When I participated in Deepak Chopra’s meditation for compassion this past week, he said several things which really resonated with me. I think one of the most important for people to hear was his response to a question about forgiveness: “Forgive not because the other person deserves it, but because…

Connect to Silence… or Don’t be a D*ck… or Gratitude for Lessons Learned

Yesterday, I had a couple of experiences which really helped me to grow as a person. They were rather trivial, but both experiences reminded me of something very important I learned as a child: If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all. In the first situation, I…

As my friend explained this other woman’s actions, I was appalled the employer hadn’t yet stepped in to stop this obvious workplace bully. All I can do is feel sorry for the ugliness coming from the other person.

“Not Everybody Likes My Latte…”

Yesterday sucked. Well, not the entire day. Really only ten hours sucked, from 11:00AM to  9:00PM. It started off like I always try to begin my morning. Rise, intention, chakra opening, coffee, breakfast, blah, blah, blah. Then I had a client who I allowed to completely throw me off. In…
